How has the terrorist organization been able to carry out these attacks?
~The group finds its finacing through the kidnapping of of important figures, ransom, bank robberies, drugs, and bussinesses within the Basque region. The also tends to follow in the footsteps of the Irish Republican Army.
ATTACKS
Through the attacks committed by ETA the group has killed a total of 829 people. ETA mainly targets police, members of the military, and politicans. The group has not been active since the January 2011 ceasefire.

1959- ETA is founded
1968- ETA claims its first casuality, Meliton Mazanas
1973-assination of Prime Minister Admiral Luis Carrero Blanco in response to the killing of Basque militants
1980- marks the year of the most killings, 100
1978- accidently kills shoppers at supermarket, later apologizes
July 1997-ETA kidnaps and assassinates the Basque councillor Miguel Angel, results in a march of 6 million people against the group
December 1997- 23 collaborators of ETA are arrested, this marks the first time the group has been punished
1998- ETA declares a ceasefire
November 1999-ETA ends ceasefire because of the shortage of government cooperation
2001-several politicans are killed, ETA declared as a terrorist organiztion by the EU
2004- ETA suspected for the March train bombings, later determined to be an Islamic terrorsit group
2006- announces another ceasefire
2007- bombing in airport, declares that ceasefire will continue, several ETA members
January 2011- Spanish government calls upon ETA to stop
October 2011- ETA ends it violent movement
